This examination is conducted every year to offer admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in agricultural education and research in various universities and colleges across India. ICAR is an autonomous organization under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. The organization is responsible for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in agriculture, including horticulture, fisheries, animal sciences, agricultural engineering, and home science.
