Located near the Arusha town in the north of Tanzania between the mount Meru, the Ngurdutu crater which also is the southeast portion of the park and is also a part of the Momela lake. Many species of water birds can be around the Momela lake as well and the trek on the Mount Meru is an exciting part of this Arusha National Park. One of the best safari’s ever where white monkeys are all found along with the herds of zebra, buffalo, other common and uncommon animals one would long to see in their lifetime which includes warthog. This national park serves as the source of most of the science related and zoology related documentaries.
The shallow parts witness many a flamingos that look breathtaking and gives the whole area a beautiful pink shade. It is important to ensure that you go for the safari twice, once in the morning and evening to witness different animals that would come around by dusk and dawn. Elephants and lions are not so common in the Arusha National park. The Leopards and hyenas would be witnessed regularly during the walk in the morning and noon. All these are the beautiful natural wonder of Arusha National Park which you won’t find anywhere else.
