Course Project: Operating System Proposal Objectives Your company is currently investigating the use of Linux. Your manager has asked you to research the feasibility of using Linux in both the server and workstation environments. Your manager would like to see an 8- to 10-page paper that compares and contrasts Linux server and Linux workstation products between three separate and distinct Linux vendors; and 1. addresses the specific issues of total cost of ownership, training, support, performance, reliability, and application availability. 2. Guidelines The following is a list of guidelines for your Course Project, due in Week 6. The primary emphasis on grading will address comparison and contrast items; however, you must still provide references and cite your work throughout the paper. · · All University policies are in effect, including the plagiarism policy. This document will provide details on how to complete your lab work. If possible, print this document so you can refer to it without having to use desktop space on your computer. Download this week’s lab report template. You will use this template to create your lab report as you execute your lab. In creating your report, you will capture screenshots at strategic points within your lab. The lab report template may contain boxes for answering lab questions, tables to complete, and boxes for Element K screenshots. STEP 2: Complete the Lab Work Refer to the printed (or open) lab instructions document to determine the tasks and steps that must be completed. As you complete each lab step, answer any questions that are asked in any lab step in your lab report template document that is open in Microsoft Word on your computer; 1. complete any tables that require lab data for any lab step into your lab report template document that is open in Microsoft Word on your computer; and 2.
