  2. Electronic City is situated just outside Bengaluru, and is a panchayat town in AnekalTaluk of the Bengaluru Urban district. It was developed by the Keonics (Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation) in the year 1978 – they were pioneers with regards to IT infrastructure developments. It is considered to be one of India’s largest Electronic Industrial Parks, covering about 332 acres of land in Agrahara, Konappana and Doddathogur villages. Electronic City is divided into three phases – Phase I, Phase II & Phase III comprising of more than 300 software companies and a huge workforce of employees. Owing to this fact, there has been an increase in number of people wanting to settle in this locality and its surroundings, and thereby the real estate in Electronic City has been booming in the past few years.

  3. Electronic City has very good connectivity with other major areas of Bengaluru City. The elevated highway on the NH7 connects Electronic City with Hosur Road and the Silk Board, and is actually considered to be India’s longest elevated road. This elevated stretch of road has effectively reduced the commuting time from Silk Board to Electronic City. Apart from that, the NICE road connects the NH7 with the Bannerghatta Road and also the Hosa Road helps connect Sarjapur Road with Hosur Road. Apart from this, there are also many proposed and upcoming metro rail lines like the R.V. Road connecting Bommasandra and few proposed stations include R.V. Road, JayaDeva Hospital, Silk Board, Hebbagodi etc. Excellent connectivity has been an added advantage for the increase in the number of residential flats in Electronic City and its surrounding localities in the recent times.

  4. Apart from being a top-notch IT hub, Electronic City also boasts very good educational institutions and hospitals and other facilities. Some of the schools and colleges found here include Ebenezer International, Brookefield High, Gurukula Academy PU College, Achievers Academy, IFIM Business School, IHMR Bangalore and Treamis Junior College, etc. Some of the well-known hospitals found in this locality include Agarwal National Hospital, NarayanaHrudayalaya, Ramakrishna Health Centre, Millennium Opticians and V2 ECity Dental Centre, etc. Shopping can be a great experience, as there are a wide range of choices available to the residents of this locality. The Coupon Mall, the Forum Mall, Big Bazaar and Vishal Megamart are a few of the malls in the vicinity. The newly-opened NEO Mall in Electronic City is a major attraction for the residents of this locality, as it offers a huge list of retail outlets, branded and designer-wear shops and many more.

  5. Over the years, Electronic City has become the most preferred residential destination for most of the IT professionals working in and around this locality. Electronic City boasts of having a top-class infrastructure housing many IT/ITES companies which acts as the major source of attraction for the working class. Some of the companies found here include HCL Technologies, Wipro Technologies, Bosch, Genpact, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Siemens Information Systems Limited, iGATE Global, 3M India, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys Limited and Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited and many more. The real estate market in Electronic City has been experiencing a boom in recent times, and has in turn helped bring in more and more renowned property builders and developers to this locality.
