  1. Why They Are Used? FASTENERS ARE MADE UP OF A WIDE VARIETY OF MATERIALS AND THEY DIRECTLY AFFECT THEIR WORKABILITY.

  2. One of the most commonly used materials used for fasteners is steel Why Steel? Steel is used due to its high formability, tensile strength, and durability.

  3. Bronze is made up of a blend of copper and tin plus a small portion of silicon. Why Bronze? Bronze is highly used because of its high corrosion resistance.

  4. Stainless steel is an alloy that combines the properties of low-carbon steel with specific proportions of chromium and nickel. Why Stainless steel? The main criteria of choosing stainless steel is its tough corrosion resistance.

  5. Brass is an alloy generally made from a mix of copper and zinc Why Brass? Brass is widely used because of its electric conductivity properties.

  6. Alloy steel nuts and bolts are made from a highly strong steel alloy Why Alloy Steel? The reason to choose alloy steel is its stress-proof property and high corrosion resistance.

  7. The two primary raw materials used in the production of aluminum are alumina and bauxite. Why Aluminum? Aluminum is widely used in manufacturing because of its intrinsic properties of lightness.

  8. Chrome is a hard metal with a low coefficient of friction. Why Chrome? Chrome is used as it enhances the appearance and also increases its resistance to corrosion.

  9. Knowing about the fastener materials is different, and buying them is completely different thing! For best quality parts... CONTACT US! wrightsautosupplies.co.uk 02476 470377 239 Torrington Ave, Coventry
