Taxation and Acts • The British brought taxes to the colonist because winning the French and Indian war cost a great amount of money. • These acts had to do with the Taxation without representation. • They use taxation and Acts to get money from the colonists.
The Boston Massacre • The Boston massacre was when the British gun fired at the colonists. • It resulted in five people dying and eight people wounded. • This forced Great Britain to reinforce the new taxes.
Boston Tea Party • The price of tea in the Americas increased, but the British did not have to pay tea. • The poor people had to pay for it with the little money that they had • In reaction, the colonists(Sons of Liberty) dressed as Indians boarded a British and dumped out barrels of tea into the Harbor.
Intolerable Acts • Was designed to punish the colonist, because England did not trust them. • The colonists were strictly punished, all their money went into supporting the army, • This act was made up of a lot more acts, such Boston and Quebec act.
