SECOND GRADE 2013-2014 Nine Week Plans- First Quarter • MATH • SOLS– 2.1, 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.12, 2.13, 2.14, 2.16, 2.17, • Units of Study: • - telling time, calendar & temperature • - data & graphing • - addition and subtraction facts to 18 • - fact families • - skip counting by 2, 5, and 10 and backwards by 10 • - ordinal positions 1st-20th and odd/even numbers • - patterns • SOCIAL STUDIES • SOLS – 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.10, 2.11, 2.12 • Units of Study: • -characteristics and examples of a good citizen • -models of good citizenship, including: George Washington, Abraham • Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr., Susan B.
