  12. IDENTIFYING RESOURCES IN YOUR COMMUNITY • Identify organizations, institutions, businesses in your jurisdiction. • Inventory what resources each might contribute to your drug court program. • Identify who is responsible for outreach. • Team involvement is essential.

  13. METHODS FOR CONNECTING WITH THE COMMUNITY • Formalize linkages through an oversight or steering committee • Conduct drug court education programs

  14. Quality Assurance • Identify barriers to successful operation • Establish standards for review of programs • Monitor use, quality and effectiveness of programs and services

  15. Start Now! • Make a plan and a back-up plan • Be creative, imagine the unimaginable • Remember, money is not the only resource
