This Presentation • Designed to introduce you to the major work programme-related issues for TSAG and WTSA-04 • Will group these issues by work programme and strategy areas • Will provide a list of all Resolutions and A-Series Recommendations and where proposals have been made • Will provide contact information for the relevant TSAG correspondence groups WTSA Preparatory Group for Africa Victoria Falls 23-25 June 2004

Plenipot – 2002 • Many Resolutions and Decisions of PP-02 impact ITU-T and require action • Many items will be handled through the Director and through TSAG • These include: • Resolution 71 - Strategic plan for the Union 2004-2007 • Resolution 72 - Linking strategic, financial and operational planning in the ITU • Resolution 107 - Improvements to the management and functioning of ITU • Resolution 109 - Review and consolidation of provisions regarding observers WTSA Preparatory Group for Africa Victoria Falls 23-25 June 2004

Plenipot – 2002Some Resolutions and Recommendations may receive WTSA-04 attention • Dec 7 - Review of the management of the Union • Delegation of authority to Directors for the Sector budgets should be exercised following advice from the Sector advisory groups. • Dec 8 - ITU input to WSIS declaration of principles and plan of action and info document on ITU activities • Pertained to WSIS Phase 1, but WTSA could develop inputs to Phase 2 regarding standardization WTSA Preparatory Group for Africa Victoria Falls 23-25 June 2004
