SQL Server Magazine purpose: • Unify the community • Solidify PASS’ financial and editorial independence • Accelerate PASS strategic goalset for 2001 and beyond • Move the PASS brand to “household word” status as the defacto association for SQL Server Professionals worldwide
Review options that: • Allow PASS more time to focus on growing, connecting and supporting the community • Facilitate a deeper PASS advocacy role • Enable PASS to realize financial independence • Explore creative ways to leverage individual strengths to quickly grow the community
PASS Mission/Vision • PASS to be the premier, global community for SQL Server • User run (volunteer) organization • Active/diverse participation from community • Facilitate networking • Influence direction of SQL Server and related technologies • Provide a forum for education • Independent (editorially and financially)
