  1. Mr. Zinsmeyer’s Social Studies and Singapore Math Corner • In Math, we were having some difficulty with the website. I believe all is up and running. Please note that the # sign stands for the student’s school id number and that the password has been changed to match the grade level password. • We will have a Topic 1 test on Friday. Please look for a study guide on Thursday evening. We will be having a contest. I am asking students to draw Numeration Street. It is a place value chart. For Singapore Math, we will continue with working on learning the steps to the problem solving process. Please have students continue to work on their multiplication facts every night. We will start out by using a picture prompt to identify the variable, control and then use these to follow the scientific process. These steps will help us to conduct the investigation later in the week. We will then use this same process to conduct an investigation on a bag on M&M’s. Terms to Know . Weekly expectations: Monday- Spelling Test The first test will be Monday, September 9th. **Please make sure your child brings their AR books to school every day. READ NIGHTLY! Students need to be reading at least 20 minutes per night. Their individualized AR goals will be assigned about the second week of September. Library- Ms. Pawelek’s class on Monday, Zinsmeyer’s on Tuesday, Collins on Wednesday, and Reed on Friday.
