Documentation Control and Quality Control Presented by Shane Tyler and Gary Russell
Maintaining ATEX Certification on the Sage Rio Mass Flow Meter • Procedures and Documentation • ATEX NIST Traceability • Weekly Quality Meetings • QC and Final Testing (including Helium leak check on ALL volatile gases) • Commitment to Quality
Procedures and Documentation for Maintaining ATEX Certification • Various documents including assembly procedures to engineering meeting notes are being used to maintain this standard • Document database and drawing database are beginning to intertwine for stronger traceability of parts used in construction of Rio
ATEX NIST Traceability • All of our calibration equipment and test instruments are calibrated through Transcat Metrology Services • All calibration sheets are filed and re-calibration dates are noted by Document Control • Any mechanical changes to Sage Rio must be pre-approved by TUV before being fully released in house
Weekly Quality Meetings • Quality meetings are held every Monday morning at 9:00am • Quality Group has helped to streamline processes as well as help keep the company on task for delivering a quality product
QC and Final Testing • Final QC checks the meter for any defects not found during assembly (this includes paperwork as well as accessories) • Leak Testing using Helium leak detector Final QC checks Insertion type meters for leaks between enclosure and sensor head
Commitment to Quality • ATEX Certification only the beginning in demonstrating Sage quality • Developing Incoming QC Checks on ATEX parts
