Christiane Frischmuth 1702 Hobart Street, NW Washington, DC 20009 Christiane@the-oclgroup.com Christiane@gfconsulting.org 202.285.3476 Christiane Frischmuth works as a coach, a facilitator, a process consultant,trainer, learning and leaderships development specialist with more than 25 years of experience. She co-creates and facilitates learning experiences and change processes for individuals, groups and organizations. She has worked and lived in Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and North America. Christiane brings to her work many disciplines such as nature-based design, poetry, dance, music, pottery, story-telling, embodied processes and draws on the richness that diverse cultures contribute. Most recently, Christiane has been developing global results-based leadership programs as well as supporting decentralization processes in India, Gambia and Sierra Leone, working directly with governments and civil society. She has been supporting GATES funded programs in the Water and Sanitation Program as learning advisor and global learning facilitator. Christiane has been consulting to the World Bank Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Department, where she was part of the core team which designed, managed and facilitated a major change initiative, integrating learning and capacity building into business practices. The focus has and continues to be cross-sectoral teams and their clients as well as institutional processes and actors which impact delivery of results. She has been the lead designer and facilitator for the World Bank leadership development programs. Prior to working with the World Bank, Christiane coached executives and facilitated strategy development for international NGOs, development agencies, community groups and governments. She built capacity among staff and consultants to organizations and facilitated long-term change management and culture change processes in Africa, the US and Asia. She has repeatedly designed and managed high impact learning programs for consultants and leaders and convened stakeholders around major social issues. Christiane has a deep knowledge of and supports others in their personal development and transformation. Christiane received her MA in Political Science from the George Washington University, a Certificate equivalent in Organization Development from NTL and a BA in International Relations from Hamilton College. She also undertook coursework in sociology, anthropology and political science in Germany, Mainz University. She is serving as adjunct faculty member for the Gestalt International Study Center, Cape Cod and studied organization and systems development and Physical Process at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. Certifications include the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Emotional Intelligence EQ-i and EQ 360 degree. She has been trained in and conducted Future Search, Gestalt Theory and Practice, Nature-based personal growth, Open Space, World Café, results-based leadership and other large systems intervention technologies. She has successfully led various Rapid Results Initiatives (Work-out). Clients include: E*Trade Financial, The World Bank, The World Bank Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Department, Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy, German Technical Assistance (GTZ GmbH), the Governments of Malawi, India, Zambia, Thailand, Chile, The Gambia, Guatemala, Mexico and Sierra Leone, Action Aid, UNDP, the GATES Foundation and the Water Sector Program.
