Alignment:Critical course elements work together to ensure that students achieve the desired learning outcomes.
QM Rubric can be used for support during - Course reviews - supports the design review process for current courses Course design – used as a tool make it easier to design new courses; sets standards to streamline the course creation process Course revision and improvement – guide for revision of existing courses Quality Benchmarking in online and hybrid courses - rubric can define "best practices" for quality online and hybrid/blended courses
To assist course developers, the OCIP team developed • 12 Step Checklists to guide course design, review, and/or • revision. • To see each checklist for each standard: • 1. Go to the OCIP Resource Wiki (ocipresources.pbworks.com). • 2. Find the row with today’s date (Wed. July 24th). • Review the checklists provided. • Each person will be assigned a standard and step. • Using the sample course English 203, find evidence of your assigned • step. • 6. Be prepared to share.
