  2. BACKGROUND • Leadership Initiative: • Identify, survey and report the opinions and attitudes of 100 leaders in 10 different sectors: • Culminating in the analysis of the top 1000 leaders in the Los Angeles region.

  3. METHODOLOGY • 2010 Leadership Initiative – Los Angeles Leaders in Health • Surveyed health leaders who impact policy, practice, advocacy and/or research. • A total of 63 leaders have participated as of the reporting date (4/12/10). • Research sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.

  4. DEMOGRAPHICS • Gender: 52% Male; 44% Female; 3% Non-response • Highest Level of Education: 79% of respondents reported having a Graduate/Professional degree* • Racial/Ethnic Origin: 40% White/Anglo; 19% Latino/Hispanic; 13% African American/Black; 10% Asian/Pacific Islander; 11% Other; 8% Non-response • Residency: 86% of respondents live in Los Angeles County; 62% have lived in Los Angeles for 16 years or more *Findings only include the most frequent response
