  1. Broadband Improves Life! “Now, more than ever before, high-speed connections promise to enhance our Nation’s productivity and economic competitiveness, improve education and expand healthcare for all Americans. Highspeed networks provide the power to erase geographic, economic and cultural gaps. With high-speed connections, American workers can find jobs; small businesses can have global markets; rural doctors can consult with specialists; and students can take classes that are taught from across the country.” – U.S. Department of Commerce, A Nation Online: Entering the Broadband Age “Each year, being digitally connected becomes ever more critical to economic, educational and social advancement. Now that a large number of Americans regularly use the Internet to conduct daily activities, people who lack access to those tools found that the lack of information technology utilization presents “a major concern” that rural businesses are not receiving the benefits associated with the availability and adoption of broadband.” – Pociask, Stephen. Broadband Use by Rural Small Businesses. U.S. Small Business Administration. “A ten percent increase in broadband use in a community can result in an average $7,000 economic difference per household.” – Jane Smith Patterson, executive director of e-NC, a rural broadband access group and national leader in state telecommunication policies

  2. Community Broadband Solutions • InLine’s broadband solutions have been used by schools to bridge the Digital Divide for years providing networking services unmatched by other providers. InLine’s systems can not only provide metro-scale fixed broadband for schools, but for communities by enabling E-rate to provide a foundation for other communication services for local, state, and federal agencies and businesses. These services can include cutting edge applications such as community-wide “Mobile Broadband” that enables hundreds of users and vehicles access to individual private networks over a single community-wide network; including Public Safety First Responders! • InLine’s proven solutions support a wide range of critical applications for communities, including: • Internet Access & WAN Connectivity: Primary and back-up high-speed, broadband connectivity to government, schools and non-profit organizations for cost-effective Internet and WAN communications. • Distance Learning: Real-time Video and Student Response Systems enabled via InLine’s Broadband. • Mobile Broadband: Broadband mobile networking for mass transit, law enforcement, and other public safety agencies to support broadband data, voice and real-time video applications. • CCTV Video: Real-time remote access for video surveillance systems enabling improved response times and incident management within schools, government buildings, roadways and other facilities. • ITS (Intelligent Traffic Systems): Real-time Traffic and Incident Management for improved travel-times, reduced congestion, pollution, and gas usage with safer roads for travelers and pedestrians.

  13. Backbone/Distribution Tower Example • This location utilizes a 140’ two- piece concrete monopole. • Provides backbone connectivity between two other sites via (2) 3-foot dishes. • Provides 360° of coverage for both 4.9GHz and Mobile Data Network.

  14. Backbone/Distribution Backup Power • Each Distribution and Backbone site is equipped with a solar backup system

  15. Client and Endpoint Sites • Endpoint or client sites are locations connected to the distribution system and typically provide access for users or hardware devices such as cameras, servers, or management systems. • Buildings, Intersections, Pump Stations and Vehicles are all examples of Client or Endpoint sites.

  16. Network Overview - Backbone

  17. Network Overview - Distribution

  18. 900 MHz - Mobile Data Coverage

  19. 4.9 GHz Public Safety Restricted License 10 Meter Coverage Area

  20. Two Types of Intersection (Endpoint) Sites • VL 4.9 GHz SU w/ integrated antenna • Indoor Unit is simply a power brick with (2) ethernet ports – located inside the traffic box. • Primary configuration under feasible conditions • BA 900 MHz Yagi Antenna • Indoor Unit is a 900 MHz SU-M and is located inside the traffic box • Secondary configuration when conditions do not allow for 4.9 GHz
