Portrait View • Easy, instant access to social networks: Default screen from lock is social networks, but can press ‘menu’ to get a standard phone menu • Long screen is great for browsing vertically-oriented social network news feeds, text conversation history or standard websites • A swipe of the finger toggles between news feeds of multiple social networks sites, or a texting menu • Constantly updates every few minutes so that when you unlock the phone, your friends’ latest updates are already there • Option to have the phone vibrate when selected friends post an update • Dedicated ‘Update!’ button initiates voice-to-text updates to popular social media sites: • User presses voice activation button (on side of phone) • Phone beeps to indicate ready • User says, “Update Twitter” or “Update Facebook” • Phone beeps to indicate ready • User says, “Like… totally looking for a parking spot at the mall – ugh” • Phone beeps and displays the text • User has opportunity to review text and edit using keypad • User submits update with a button press, or holding the voice-activation button and saying “Submit” or “Cancel” • Landscape View • Automatically switches to calendar view in landscape • Long screen great for viewing multiple days • Easy viewing! Affordable Monthly Plan Focuses on Social Media Features • Facebook Subsidizes Monthly Plan • User can opt-in to receive a targeted ad per day from Facebook in exchange for $5-10 off monthly fee. • Nokia sets the terms of Facebook paying service provider in exchange for ad event notice delivery to users • Data & Text – Focused Plan • Medium-rate plan includes features important to socializing, but omits features that youth may not value as highly • Unlimited data transfer and texts • Omits multi-party calling, forwarding, tethering, that youth don’t value highly • Selected-Unlimited Data Plan • Unlimited data transfer only to 10-20 top social networking sites • Other sites apply to a number-of-gigs-per-month data transfer limit • Selected sites subsidize service provider for the extra traffic and loyalty • Service provider passes these savings on to user as $5-10 off monthly fee • Nokia helps service provider set up agreements with websites • This would be one choice of several plans, not required
