Spiral Log Entry 2:Outlining Experimental Plan • Once independent and dependent variable are approved by teacher then you need to design an experimental plan. • Follow Outline sheet given to you • Be ready to plant seeds next class
Tuesday 9-3-13 • Fill out planner (No Warm UP) • Place Color Code for class on Journal • Be sure all pages are numbered in Journal before turning in. • Grade Hazard Symbols • Plant Fast plants
Hazards Symbol • Answer all questions and complete all parts in your SN for Hazard Symbols (pp. 14-17).
Fast plants • Watch instructions for planting fast plant seeds • Write procedures in spiral log book as you plant. • Don’t forget to complete Hazard Symbols for Homework.
Wednesday 9-4-13 • No Warm up in Spiral. • Instead read and highlight the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair Student Handbook. • Be ready to discuss 2 things from each section. • (interesting, didn’t know, need 2 remember, etc.) • Grade Hazards Symbols WS
To do: • Discuss Intel Science Handbook • Attach the following to the back of your Science Fair Log Book. (1 page for each.) • Grade sheet for log book • Due Dates • Developing a log book instructions • Intel International Science & Engineering Fair Handbook • Background research • Project Ideas Page …. Is Project Feasible? • Due Monday 9/9 (extra points if turned in on 9/6) • Must have 2 GREAT ideas ….. Or you will lose points GRADE Hazards Homework – red grading pen on your desk
