What is Genesis Parent Access? • Genesis Parent Access is a convenient home-to-school tool that allows parents/guardian to monitor their child/children’s academic progress online. • Parents/guardians will use this password-protected program to have view-only access to their child/children’s daily attendance, marking period grades, class assignments, and report card.

  5. Genesis Parent Access Registration Process • Welcome Letter and Application go to parents • Parent Access Account Application is returned to Classroom Teacher by the student • Classroom Teacher will give applications to the CSC • CSC will complete the spreadsheet • CSC will send the Spreadsheet to the Information System Department • ISD staff will input data into GenesisConfirmation letter with log-on directions will be sent to the parent. • Parent will be able to access Parent Access.

  6. Genesis Parent AccessRegistration Form • Parents need to complete the required Genesis Parent AccessRegistration Form. Parents must have a valid email account. • All students will be provided with copies of Genesis Parent Access Registration Forms to take home to their Parents/Guardians. (CT) • Genesis Parent Access Registration Forms are to be returned to the Parent Coordinator via the Classroom Teacher. (CT) • Keep a copy of the Registration Form in 3 ring binder – send original to ISD (CSC)

  7. Completing the spreadsheet - CSC • Column Headings • EMAIL address – IMPORTANT!!! • Need student IDs – Attendance Clerk, School Clerk or Guidance Counselors – (CSC) • Fill each row of information correctly. • Technology Coordinators will provide technical assistance to the CSC in the following: completing the spreadsheet, saving the spreadsheet and sending the spreadsheet via email.

  8. “Save As” and Sending the spreadsheet • Completed spreadsheet would be saved on a weekly basis. • Save As – “School_name_date” • Example Veterans11-01-11.xlsx • Send to Terrance Juergens and Gregory King • ISD will process the spreadsheet

  9. Accessing Parent Access • Once the parent’s account has been created, the parent will receive an e-mail confirmation and information packet, • The first time the parent log into the system he will have the opportunity to change his password.

  10. How do I access Genesis Parent Access Module? • Go to the Camden Public School website @ www.camden.k12.nj.us. Soon you will see a link to access Genesis Parent Access. • Log on using your email address and password • The link to access Genesis Parent link will on school’s on the website. • http://parents.camden.k12.nj.us • Training website: Parent Access Demo • https://parents.genesisedu.com/demo • Username: camden@demo.com • Password: camden

Genesis Parent AccessGuidelines & Help Information • The portal will allow you to see (view only) your child's/childrens’ demographic information, attendance, report card, and gradebook. • Please keep the following guidelines in mind: • Please keep your password confidential. • Grades will not be displayed until a report card has been printed. • If you have any questions/concerns about a posted grade, please contact your child’s teacher.
