Facility Slot/Volume Capacity Review Progress • Goal: Improve ability to create appointments by raising appointment slot capacity at 50 Customer identified facilities. • Status: The data for the facilities was compiled, analyzed, and constraint modifications were made in FAST: • Group 1 Sites were implemented on February 8th • Groups 2 Sites were implemented February 21st – March 1st • Group 3 Sites were implemented on March 8th • Groups 4 & 5 Sites are in final review with BMC Operations • Results: • Over 300 appointment slots were added to approximately 40 facilities. • The revision of facility constraints has been successful and has improved Customer’s ability to obtain appointments in FAST. • Facility Volume complaints are at an all time low.

FAST System Release - DEPS • Starting on May 28, 2006, FAST will be the owner of the ZIP CIN file and CIN List file via a new sub-system of FAST. • This sub-system is called the Drop Entry Point System or DEPS and will provide the information necessary to identify the drop shipment discounts • FAST will also store the remaining three Drop Ship Product files. USPS will no longer provide the Drop Ship Product via CD subscription; you will simply access FAST at https://fast.usps.com and download these files for free! • Address File - USPS facility address and telephone information • Supplemental Site File - dock information, processing hours, and directions to the drop ship facilities • Parcel File - facility information that identifies the drop ship facility for ZIP Codes split by carrier route based on the Majority of City carriers rule for parcels. •  ZIP CIN File - ZIP Codes, carrier routes, CIN and drop ship carrier sequence barcode sorter (CSBCS) discount codes, and drop site key for additional discounts • SOON TO BE THE NEW DEPS MAIL DIRECTION FILE! • The last fulfillment of the Drop Ship Product CD by the National Customer Support Center will be July 2006. For questions related to the CD or the DSP files please contact the Address Management Customer Care Department at 1-800-238-3150. • AMS has sent a letter to all Drop Ship Product subscribers with the last date of the CD provided product.

FAST System Release - Enhancements • To learn more about DEPS please visit: • RIBBS at http://ribbs.usps.gov click FAST/Surface Visibility then click Click Here For Additional Information in the Document Repository • Posted - New Mail Direction File Layout • Posted – Sample Mail Direction File • Coming 5/19 – Mail Direction File and Facility Profile Job Aid • Coming 5/19 - May 21st Release Notes • A DEPS Postal Bulletin will be published on 5/25. • FAST system enhancements included in the May 21st release: • Allow customers to create, update, and cancel appointments up to 1 hour prior to the desired appointment time • Provide information regarding maximum truck length on the appointment content page

Label List Integration • Goal: Automate and centralize the process of creating and updating the USPS Label Lists for mail preparation and drop shipment, thus becoming the provider of all the Label Lists information to support the mailer industry, DMM, eVS, and eDropship, etc. • A subgroup is being formed via MTAC #87 to support the Label List integration into FAST • Please contact Anita Pursley if you have an interest in joining the subgroup • Anita.Pursley@quebecorworld.com
