  1. My Everest Story BY: Mark Pferetzer Character: Mark, a thirteen year old who has a love to climb and goes for the summit on Mt. Everest Also By: Benji Boyer

  2. Dear Benji, Today is May the 12th 2005 even though it’s the middle of summer its still 13 degrees up here. We are having fun but it smells pretty bad. Today is our last day in base camp tomorrow we are heading up to camp one. After that to camp three, then we are going for the summit. Your friend, Mark

  3. Dear Benji, Can you see me? Scott Fischer Took this picture from base camp.. Scott is one of my best friends, he treats me like I’m one of his sons even though I’m only 13.Scott is one of the greatest climbers of his time I think he has summated Everest three times.Today he is leading and expedition to camp three. Your friend, Mark

  4. Dear Benji, We finally reached the summit today. It was a great feeling to be at the top of the highest mountain in the word. I hope you are having fun in Chattanooga Your friend, Mark

  5. Dear Benji, The culture here is very different than where you live. Many people live by getting money for carrying things up the mountain for the climbers. Others are just ox farmers keeping sure that the oxen don’t get in trouble. Your friend, Mark
