  2. Ancient City of Ephesus Ruins Ephesus is an amazing ancient city which was established by Greeks and enlarged by Romans. During it’s history city was an important metropolitan of ancient world. Beside being an important ancient settlement, Ephesus is also most visited ancient city of Modern Turkish Republic. From all over the world people come Ephesus to feel breeze of history.

  3. Ephesus Curetes Street Curetes Street locates Between the Hercules Gate and the Celcus Library starts. This sacred path was used as a sacred road which was used by the Curetes and it continued its existence contrary to the hippodamic system of the Hellenistic-Roman city.

  4. Ephesus Celsus Library Celsus Library is a typical structure of architectural style prevalent in the period of Emperor Hadrian, dates back to 2. Centry AD. The most well-known building of Ephesus City was built to honour proconsul (governor) of the Asian province Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus, by his son Tiberius Julius Acquila. Known as third largest library of Ancient World after Alexandria and Pergammon libraries.

Inside Ephesus Terrace Houses Ephesus Celsus Library Terrace houseswere the luxury apartment building of people who were propertied class in Ephesus, established on terraces on the slopes of Mount Bulbul. The houses were built in peristyle, adjacent to each other, each consisting of two flats. Some of these houses dates to the 1st century B.C. from the finds made during excavations. After restorations and repairs the some houses were built after the earthquakes in 2nd century and 3th century A.D., the houses were two-storey, were inhabited until the end of 4th century A.D. and some continued to be inhabited until 7th century A.D.
