Campus Vision • Yale Officers and Corporation developing long-range strategic vision & site capacity • West Campus will not be used as an overflow campus • Strategic addition to Yale • The look “and feel” of Yale • This acquisition allows Yale a jumpstart of 20 years in terms of lab space research capability • Discussions for use include: • Sciences  Public outreach • Arts  Innovative archiving and storage • Teaching opportunities

Operations • Goal – seamlessly integrate West Campus within existing University campus operations • Progress to date: • Convened Planning Committee 9/07 • Post close – Phase I and Phase II • Phase I – Deliver core services of security, power plant and facilities (minimal occupancy) • Phase II – Significant occupancy • Work has gone into planning IT phone network installations, police and security protocols, facilities, grounds & custodial operations, inventory controls systems and environmental and safety analysis and processes.
