Assignment: • Explain why Hazel says, “I bet Mack could have been president of the U.S. if he wanted,” in chapter 13. • Using chapters 7, 9-11, and 13, give me three examples of Mack’s behavior that gives Hazel that opinion. 3. Group Reading – Chapter 15 Take turns reading aloud Chapter 15, until you finish it. You can read as much as you want, but the minimum to read is one sentence. Once you finish, you need to add to your body biography pictures that tell the story of at least 2 main characters so far as you know through chapter 15.

4. Silent Reading – Chapter 17 Read chapter 17 to yourself, when you are finished add a character trait, or a picture to Doc on your body biographies from Chapter 17 (no repeating anyone in your group.)

5. Read Aloud – Chapter 18 I got this one.

On your own, or with a partner you will write a persuasive essay about Doc’s observation that, “People didn’t like you for telling the truth,” stating your opinion on whether or not this is true, and giving a 3 examples from your personal experience to back up their opinion.
