  1. ECLOUD Studies at Tevatron(2):Emittance Growth vs. Chromaticity B. Hanna, X. Zhang

  2. Objective • Measure emittance growth vs. chromaticity.

  3. Last Studies (May 19, 2005) 0.73e12/30 bunches Emittance growth: ~28pi/hr

  4. Vacuum Pressure Rise

  5. Emittance Growth vs. Chromaticity Initial chromaticity set at (4,4)

  6. Suspicious Flyingwire Data? Beamsizes are growing while previous horz emittance decreasing

  7. Summary • Huge vacuum pressure rise still happens when bunch intensity over threshold at C0 and A0. • Didn’t observe fast emittance growth with chromaticity reduced. • Flyingwire sigmas are over twice of the normal coalesced bunched. • Initial emittances are about 5pi lager than 2005 data. • Fast bunch lengthening at the beginning.
