The Second Plan for Social Inclusion 2008-2011 Junta de Extremadura (Regional Government) Economic and Social Agents FEMPEX (Municipalities and Provinces).
The Second Plan for Social Inclusion 2008-2011 • It contains 107 measures. • Nowadays, the current run average is 93%. • 10 areas of performance • Six of them agglutinate measures concerning: Employment, Social Services, Health, Education, Economic and Housing Resources.
The Second Plan for Social Inclusion 2008-2011 Highlights: • 1 .- Improving access of all persons in favor of Social Inclusion: strengthening of the Public Social Primary Care Services Network of the Autonomous Region of Extremadura. • 2 .- Implementation of the “Neighborhood Plan”: 8 vulnerable districts in 7 cities in Extremadura. Almost 33,000 people residing in them have been benefited of this program. • 3.- The implementation of strengthen actions to prevent and intervene in situations that generate social exclusion in Rural Areas through the participation of 30 Social Inclusion Agents of Extremadura. • 4 - Developing Programs for Social Inclusion targeted at Roma people. Extremadura reside approximately 15.000 Roma people, mainly located in cities with more population.
Projects: • Creation and implementation of the Plan for the Promotion and Social Participation of Roma people of Extremadura, from 2007 to 2012 • European project “+RESPECT” The activities to be performed include:- Creation of a permanent observatory on Roma people. - Actions to increase Roma people participation in democratic civil proceedings.- Anti-Roma Information and awareness campaigns.
Conclusions: Importance in the struggle for Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups and Special Areas of vulnerability of our region. The implementation of Social Support Program and the design and implementation of labor insertion routes Promoting good governance like inclusive working philosophy of the networks, which are key actors in the processes of social inclusion.
