(10-11). • The lesson is about “How” they would return. • A “highway” to be built. • Similar to Exodus from Egypt – 19:22-23 • Unity of nations – vs. 24-25; John 14:6; Acts 9:2; 19:9 Isaiah – A Book of Destruction

  3. 11:16 – followed by Psalm of rejoicing. • Free from sin and bondage – v. 1 • V. 2 – our hope, our only hope. • V. 3 – Wells of salvation. • John 4:6 – never thirst again – vs. 10, 14. • John 7:37-38 • 1 Cor. 10:4 A Highway of Rejoicing

  4. V. 4 • Psalm 107:2 • Give thanks – Col. 1:12 • “Call on His name” – a source of constant help. • Psalm 50:15 • “Declare His doings among the people.” • A weakness among us. • Then, “sing” & Cry aloud A Highway of Testimony

  5. Ch. 34-35 • Contrast Edom (Esau) with Israel (Jacob). • Ch. 34 doom and destruction • Ch. 35 beauty and hope • Vs. 8-10 • Not for their day, but ours – I Pet. 1:10f • Jesus – “the way, the truth and the life.” • This demands we follow Him in holiness. A Highway of Holiness
