Brief history 2004 2006 2010 2011 • KOPRI was separated from KORDI and became an independent polar research institution • Check validity on establishing data center • Visited AADC and discussed transfer AADC’s system to KOPRI • Hold that process because of lack of budget and specialist. • Created master plan to build Korea polar data center • Made draft of data management policy • Developed metadata management system • Confirmed and enforced the draft data management policy • Redeveloped the metadata management system • Introduced the mass storage system
