Is it HR’s responsibility to assist employees with issues related to the organization’s health care insurer? • Yes, 66% of HR professionals believe it is HR’s responsibility to assist health care plan participants (employees or their dependents) to sort out problems (e.g., unpaid claims, service issues, etc.) with the organization’s health care insurer. Note: n = 358. Organizations that do not offer a health care plan to employees were excluded from the analysis.

Does your organization’s contract with your health care insurer include incentives to decrease the time it takes for claims processing? • Of the 6% of companies that indicated their contract included incentives, the most common incentive was performance guarantees.
