  9. What must be included? • Title page • Objectives page • Photographs of the process • Photographs or scans showing samples of student products • Reflections by students (i.e. artist statements) • Also May Include: • Video taped highlights • Interviews of students about the process • Music

  10. Examples • Kindergarten: Journey to Grandma’s House • First Grade: Imaginary Journeys • Second Grade: Mali Tableau • Third Grade: Magazine Covers • Fourth Grade: Magnetism Readers Theater/Integration Tableau • Fifth Grade: Poetry based on Student Photography • Sixth Grade: Image Maker

  11. First Grade: Imaginary Journey Through the Clouds While learning about the different types of clouds, students went on an imaginary journey to feel the difference between the clouds. Step 1: Imaginary Journey Step 3: Individual Recall of Types of Clouds Step 2: Group Retell

  12. Third GradeHistory/Science Magazine Covers • The children found pictures of patriotic symbols or famous Americans on the web. They were then instructed to write three facts and one question about their picture.

Image Making: Integrating Language Arts and Photography Photostory documenting a year long arts integration project of sixth grade students working with a professional photographer to examine and document different perspectives and changes in their school and community environment using photography, literature, and writing.
