  2. Duties & Responsibilities • Look over federal taxes • Requires continual learning to stay up on tax codes • Contact with taxpayers or businesses • You are making sure that people don’t cheat on their taxes.

  3. Training/Education Requirments • IRCA Training • Four-year bachelor’s degree in accounting • CPA (maybe) • Possible master’s degree in accounting

  4. Average Wages • As of May 2010: • $68,960 a year • Bottom 10% made $38,940 • Top 10% made $106,880 • Can make about $29.66 a hour

  5. Is the Field Growing? • The field is expected to grow about 16% between 2010-20. Demand through financial documentation is expected to increase.

  6. See Myself in this Field • I don’t see myself doing this type of work, but it could be a backup. I like to know this stuff just in case.

  7. Why This Job? • I would only do this job because I might enjoy working with the government.
