Jack’s mother Jack’s mother is a very eccentric and over the top character who can also be played to be very cranky, old and bitter She is overworked and frazzled with the tasks of raising a young boy on her own who she describes as a fool Her only source of income has stopped producing and she fears she cannot make ends meet She changes in Act two when she becomes rich and happy but unfortunately dies shortly after
