INTRODUCTION

1. Women have been wearing high heels shoes for ages. This invention became an essential part of women’s wardrobe. Women wear shoes to look taller, skinnier, and prettier. INTRODUCTION OBJECTIVES METHODS For the base of my product I took the manufactured shoes and removed the heel. To create a new foldable heel, I used door hinges. Then I used polyester to make the shape of the heel. I added extra rubber to the sole of the shoe. I used spray paint and some accessories to make it look nice. CONCLUSION The first position of “A Foldable Heel Shoe” is a flat shoe, and by a simple move you pull out the heel and it turns into the second position – high heel shoe. Since wearing high heels for a long time is very tiring I decided to come up with an alternative – the shoe with a foldable heel. My idea was to create a shoe that combines flats and high heels in just one shoe. During the course of Inventions class I was trying to solve the problem of wearing high heels shoes. I came up with a new product called “Foldable Heel.” The final work was tested on different student at NYUAD and they enjoyed it. Right now I have only a prototype, which works but still needs some modifications in terms of comfortable structure. FURTHER DEVELOPMENT The design of the “Foldable Heel” could be developed into a brand and manufactured for market. Some problems concerning solidity of the mechanism are still left.
