  6. We analyze the behaviour of people and systems and their effects on other systems Negative effect < cause < behaviour

  7. Negative effect< cause < behaviour Example: Pollutants to air, soil and water< car emissions < driving a car

  8. From Individuals We must limit the burden we place on the Earth so it will be able to support coming generations Healthy Environment

  9. Example: Pollutants to air, soil and water < car emissions < driving a car It sounds so simple. It is. If no-one ever turned an ignition key, cars would never emit pollutants

  10. From Individuals We can identify behaviour which is both positive and negative for the environment Healthy Environment

  11. From Individuals In turn, we can identify behaviour of the environment which is positive and negative for individuals Healthy Environment

  12. People generally understand what crossing this line entails. And society has developed measures and regulations for this over the years. Nutrients, pollutants Healthy environment

  13. Healthy individuals Behaviourcausing environmentaldepletion And people generally understand what crossing this line entails.

  14. Healthy individuals Effects on health ofenvironmental factors This aspect is well understood, too

  15. Communities must limit the burden they place on the Earth so it will be able to support coming generations Healthy Environment From Communities

  16. Example: Leakage of chemicals from landfil <Deposition of domestic waste <putting waste in disposal bin

  17. Leakage of chemicals from landfil <Deposition of domestic waste <putting waste in disposal bin It sounds so simple. It is. If no-one ever threw anything in the domestic rubbish, there would be no landfill leakage

  18. In the other direction, communities benefit from being in a healthy environment Healthy Environment From Communities
