SHELTER • Many north eastern Native American tribes built wigwams . • A wigwam is a type of home made by bending small trees into a dome. • It is covered in tree bark to keep out the cold, with a small hole in the roof to let out smoke from the cooking fire inside. • The beds inside were made from the skins of animals such as beavers and foxes.
Clothing • The eastern Woodlands wore animal skins like deer, and some are grasses. They also designed their cloth by beads. • They wore Moccasins to also keep their feet warm and protected. They also used moccasins to walk comfortable and soft. • The Native Americans wore beads around their head to support their tribes . Also, to keep warm.
Food • The Eastern Woodlands used baskets to put food. • They made the baskets by twigs and grass. They put nuts and berries in the baskets. • The Eastern Woodlands depended on their environment for food and medicine and many more. • They hunted animals, and fished with spears and bows and arrows , and sometimes they also used feathers.
Culture • The Eastern Woodlands played games like the Bowl Game, and the quiver. • They wore masks like the Iroquois masks and corn husk mask. • One of their favorite games are Lacrosse false, Face mask, Turtle-shell rattle to chase away the evil spirits.
