  1. Adani Group’s Various Extraordinary Mining Projects

  2. The Adani Group holds the reputation of being one of the most vital conglomerates operating on a global scale. The group has its presence across multiple sectors including ports, power, energy, mines, etc. The group has always been deeply interested in the mining sector. Since time immemorial, the Adani Group has taken up a lot of projects each of which has brought about various developments in the mining sector. The Adani coal mines have also ensured that the country’s power needs are addressed.

  3. Why Is The Adani Group So Focused On The Mining Sector? The major reason behind the Adani Group’s focus on the mining sector is to meet the country’s energy demands. Our country has been suffering from energy scarcity for a quite well now. Although we have a lot of power projects operating in the country, they are not sufficient to meet the ever-growing power demands. The global conglomerate has also been trying to take up multiple renewable energy projects in India. In fact, it is the largest renewable energy producer in the country. However, the current renewable energy capacity of our country is not sufficient to meet all our energy demands.

  4. This is the reason why the Adani Group has taken up the initiative to operate Adani coal mines. This will ensure that the country’s growing energy demands are well addressed. We will also have a consistent power supply to meet all our energy demands. Although the group started its mining business in India, very soon, it began to spread out its horizons. Today, it has multiple mines under its name including various overseas projects. This has further added prosperity to the Adani Group’s mining business.

  5. The Various Mines Under The Control Of The Adani Group: As of now, the Adani Group has six operational Adani coal mines under its name. The four in India are the Parsa East Kente Basan mine in the Hasdeo forests of Chhattisgarh; the nearby Gare Pelma-III mine; the Talabira II and III mine in Odisha; and the Suliyari coal mine in Madhya Pradesh. All these are MDO mines in which the Adani Group acts as a mine developer and operator. Other than that, the Adani Group is known to operate the Carmichael coal mine in Australia. This is one of its most extraordinary mining ventures.
