This Hasdeo Arand area was earlier a no-go zone for coal mining because of various environmental and regulatory concerns. However, the Adani Group has been able to overcome all the challenges in pursuit of the coal mining project. It has also been able to mine several tons of coal from this area which has ultimately brought about an end to energy scarcity which existed in various areas of India.

The Parsa East Kente Basan coal mine in Northern Chhattisgarh has indeed come a long way. It is currently the largest operating mine under the Adani Group. The Adani Group runs it as a contractor for the Rajasthan government utility. The coal mined from this project is supplied to Rajasthan for energy generation in the region. This Adani Hasdeo coal mine has an excellent capacity. It is spread across the Hasdeo Arand forest area which is one of the largest continuous patches of forest in the country. Rajasthan has recently achieved 100% electrification. However, half the state's electricity is produced from various coal-based sources. The coal from the Adani Hasdeo project meets half of the state's power needs. It has also a big role to play in ensuring that an interrupted supply of electricity is supplied in the various areas of Rajasthan. Various residential and industrial activities could also be carried out in the state for a significant amount of time.
