  2. Original recipe • 1- 8 oz. of cream cheese • 1 pound of ground beef • 1 pound of taco seasoning • 12 oz. of salsa • 1- 8 oz. package of shredded cheese

  3. Recipe Directions Brown the ground beef Drain grease Add taco seasoning as directed on package Add salsa to taco mix and simmer Spread Softened cream cheese Add taco mixture Sprinkle shredded cheese on top Bake in oven at four hundred degrees until cheese is melted

  4. Recipe converted metric • 8 oz. of Cream Cheese = 227 grams • 8 oz. of Shredded Cheese= 227 grams • 12 oz. of Salsa = 340 grams • Example of Calculation: • 8 oz. = 1 lb 454 g = 227 grams • 16 oz 1 lb

  5. Chemical change • Browning the ground beef- It changes the color, and taste. Heat and gas is produced. • Simmering the product after adding the taco mix and salsa.

  6. Physical change • Melting the cheese- melting point • Adding taco seasoning- mixing • Adding salsa- mixing • Softening the cream cheese- the texture is changed and heat is added (melting point) • Adding the taco mixture to the ground beef- mixing all the ingredients together
