Innovators and Early Adopters • Many of the innovators and early adopters of blogging include the founders of Open Diary and Blogger. • Jorn Barger who created Wisdom WebLog and introduced the term “WebLog” • Early adopters include the general public that utilized blogging innovation such as MY Space and Blogger. • The appeal to such adopters would be the opportunity to publically post a journal and publish something that can be seen by the general public • The laggards have been those in the field of education • Only recently have instructors began to consider blogging as an educational tool • Through attributes such as compatibility and the ability to be observed teachers will see how blogging can extend learning beyond the classroom
