    2. Circumstances 1984, Gregory Lee Johnson doused an American flag with kerosene and burned the flag to protest Reagan administration policies in Dallas, Texas. No one was injured but some witnesses said they were extremely insulted and he was arrested for it. Little did they know that Johnson burned the flag because of his belief in the Constitution’s First Amendment.
