  1. Title Upgrade the capacity of GEFONT on ILO standard setting and Supervisory Mechanism

  2. Justification • To protect the workers right by using ILO mechanism • Use the provision of representation before the ILO • For the use of ILO instrument knowledge in this process is required.

  3. Target Groups • 30 union leader • 10 from GEFONT secretariat • 15 from secretariat of affiliated union • 5 from CWWD working in the secretariat

  4. Development Objectives • Able to protect workers right by use of ILO mechanism • Able to send report • Able to make the representation • Able to file the complaints • Able to make govt serious

  5. Immediate Objectives • Able to participate actively in the standerd setting • Can lobby for the submission • Participate in regular supervisory mechanism and other ILO instruments.

  6. Indicators of Achievement • Participate actively in the process of ILO standard setting mechanism. • Able to sent the report to ILO regarding the situation of trade union right and implementation of rectified ILO conventions

  7. Key Outputs • The report send by GEFONT to ILO may be publicised in the report of ILO. • Nepalese working class people will be benefited

  8. Activities • Establish a separate section • Required materials shall be prepared • Training will conducted for target group • Social Dialogue with the all-social partners • Collection of Iinformation of violation of labour right by reporter. • Report send to ILO

  9. Inputs • Financial input. • Technical input • Resource person from ILO and local resource. • Office, Phone, Training equipment, shall be arranged by GEFONTs own source. • Human Resources: One full time Project co-ordinator. • Other human resources by GEFONT.

  10. Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation • The PCO will monitor all projects • All reporters send the report of situation of violation of TUR every 6 months. • PCO get feedback from the participant • The evaluation by participant through evaluation form • Interim report after one year and final report in last of the project.
