  2. As far as the current Moscow - London relations are concerned, they are pragmatic rather than friendly.

  3. Nevertheless, business ties between the two countries are developing smoothly. Today there are about 600 British companies operating in Russia, while Russian companies prefer placing their shares on the London Stock Exchange.

  4. "Russia is a huge market and the trading relationship is hugely important. I think British companies, Britain is the biggest investor in Russia. But it’s not just about oil and energy, which some people assume it is. It’s about many other sectors…

  6. Cultural and tourism exchange is also on the rise between our countries. • Thousands of students arrive in Britain from Russia every year to study and practice their English. • London has hosted the 2012 Summer Olympics and Russia is preparing to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

  7. Cameron and Medvedev signed five documents on economic cooperation, including the agreement between Rosneft and BP on strategic cooperation in the development of the Arctic shelf worth $16 billion. • Among many projects involving British companies in Russia, we count the project “Skolkovo”, World Cup 2018 preparations and the construction of a super high-speed rail line between Moscow and St. Petersburg.

  8. Russia and Great Britain have all the opportunities to develop their relations successfully.
