Minnesota State Personnel Development Grant (2010-15) Tool: Using visuals to communicate information about our project that includes: 1) Goals, 2) Initiatives 3) Timelines 4) Project Descriptions Poster Presenter: Loraine Jensen SPDG Coordinator Goal 1: Improve Educational Results for Children and Youth with Disabilities from Diverse Communities Through the Delivery of High Quality Instruction Part C / ASD Project Parent Implemented Intervention Models Increase the capacity of Part C early childhood special educators and other professionals who serve themto enhance parents’ skills Y2-Y5 Parent Involvement (PACER) Increase effective parent involvement, targeting parents of students with disabilities from minority, low income and English language learner backgrounds Y1-Y5 Cohort Districts Cross District Leadership and Implementation Teams Focused on literacy and behavior Y1-Y5 Tribal Cohort Continue with EBD and LD licensure training program embedded within American Indian Culture and teachings. “Naadaamadiwin Tribal Cohort Licensure” Y1-Y5 Goal 2: Ensure the Recruitment, Hiring and Retention of a Diverse Highly Qualified Special Education Workforce Spoken Language Interpreters Training Professional development in education/special education for interpreters and translators focused on targeted populations.
