  3. Education • Learned how to read at 4 years old • Was in all acc. classes and took a French course in 6th grade • Whitney m. young magnet high school for gifted kids • Studied sociology and African studies at Princeton university in 1988 • Went to Harvard to earn a J.D. in 1988

  4. Occupations • 1991-1993 she was an assistant commissioner for the Chicago department of planning and deployment • In 1993 she found Chicago branch of public allies; a training program for young adults • She served as a the branch’s executive director until 1996 • Public speaker
