Manifest and WSR Information must be filled out accurately • Origin /Site and Generator/Name and address • Removal Contractor/Name • Responsible Agency • USDOT Class – NA2212, Asbestos, PG III, RQ • # of Containers/bags total quantity • Generator signature • Transporter information and signature • Landfill information • Profile Number • Friable Manifests/Letters are mailed back to Generator within 30 days

Landfill Rules • DOT placarding on four sides of the container (DOT Regulation) • Class 9 on opposing two sides near the closure of the container as required by DOT • Landfill displays a sign when unloading at the landfill: • “Danger, Asbestos Dust Hazard. Cancer and Lung Disease Hazard. Authorized Personnel Only”
Packaging • Material must be double bagged in bags with label, packaged and transported in accordance with OSHA , DOT 49 CFR and NESHAPS. Each bag must have label with the generator’s name and address. • Bulk loads must be properly wetted and packaged in accordance with DOT and EPA regulations.
Landfilling Friable ACM • Bagged double wrapped 6 mil poly, wrapped piping, conduit, machines, etc. • Bulk Friable ACM wrapped “burrito” (must unload intact) to prevent any release at the landfill • Friable ACM is trenched and requires 24 hour notification • Non-Friable ACM in class 9 bags will be treated as friable- Don’t turn bags inside out • Designatedarea – GPS daily no drilling or digging – Spacing for wells etc. Landfill gas managements
Landfilling Non-Friable • Profiles required • Non-Friable is mixed in with MSW. We do not crush to become airborne • Non-Friable in Friable in class 9 bags are treated as Friable ACM, even if profiled and manifested as non-friable
Acceptable Transportation for WM Landfills Friable bags or bulk • Dump Trailers/Dump Trucks – • must be in bags or burrito bagged • Roll off – • Open top - must be in bags/boxes or burrito bagged – non-permeable tarp • Closed boxes for bagged • Roll off boxes at yards must be permitted as Transfer Station to do (truck to container or truck to truck transfer) • Walking floors for friable- bags/poly cannot hold its integrity rip on the floors ( NO - High Acres and Mill Seat) Chaffee and GR ok Non-Friable • Dump Trailers /Dump Trucks • Roll off * maximum weight 12-15 tons per load for WM roll offs • Walking floors 364 Permits • Must list landfills on permit
