  7. MYP: IB Middle years programme • For ALL STUDENTS in grades 9-10 • Provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills, achieved through embracing and transcending traditional school subjects.

  8. Middle Years Programme (MYP) Eight academic subject areas: Mathematics Humanities Language A Language B • Science • Physical Education • Arts • Technology +Personal Project to be completed during Grade 10

IB Diploma Programme Requirements Test in (and pass) three Higher Level and three Standard Level courses that represent all six areas of the hexagon Complete the Theory of Knowledge course Complete and reflect on 150 CAS hours Extended Essay - a 4,000 word investigation in any of the subject areas If all above are completed to a certain score, students will earn an IB Diploma!

  16. What is ibcc? • An IB program that blends the rigor of IB Diploma classes with the hands-on, application classes of the CTE (Career and Technical Education) programs.

  18. History of ibcc • Roosevelt began as one of the original 12 world pilot schools with its career focus on Health Careers. • The Roosevelt IBCC program is now fully authorized and recognized as one of a handful of authorized programs worldwide.
