New dynamics Position electoral principles within broader foreign, judicial and security policy considerations Strengthen the capacity of national democratic institutions to deliver on commitments Integrating electoral support with the long-term need for sustainable democratic progress Starting point is political commitment

Modalities Objective: Developing recommendations for comprehensive and sustainable support to electoral processes Establishment of a Global Commission on Elections, Democracy and Security Distill recommendations - how to prioritize and implement principles and practices - enhance the integrity of electoral processes Global Commission supported by Advisory Group Consultations with key stakeholders

  5. Possible follow-up Determined and guided by report and recommendations of the Global Commission Possible follow-up actions: -Supporting the institutional and professional development of key actors and stakeholders -Strengthening knowledge-sharing through peer networks
