China's ByteDance has decided to cut jobs in India amid a ban on the app
By Aditya Kalra NEW DELHI (Reuters) - China's ByteDance has chosen to decrease the size of its India group and is uncertain when the organization will make a rebound in India, it said in an inward update to representatives on Wednesday. India has chosen to hold its prohibition on video application TikTok and 58 other Chinese applications in the wake of inspecting reactions from the organizations on issues, for example, consistence and security, two sources with direct information on the issue told Reuters on Tuesday. The applications were prohibited in the midst of rising strains among India and China following a boundary conflict between the two countries a year ago.
"We at first trusted that the present circumstance would be brief ... we find that has not been the situation," ByteDance wrote in an inner notice to staff, seen by Reuters. "We essentially can't capably remain completely staffed while our applications stay un-operational ... we don't have the foggiest idea when we will make a rebound in India"
