Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday said different untruths are being spread about "mandis" and added that the Center has given the opportunity to ranchers under the new homestead laws. "Numerous untruths are being spread about APMC for example mandis. Our administration has given ranchers opportunity under the new farming laws, has given new alternatives that they can sell their produce, in mandis or anyplace outside the mandis," the Minister tweeted (generally deciphered from Hindi). Prasad's assertion comes in the midst of progressing fights by the ranchers on Delhi outskirts against the three homestead laws - the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance, and Farm Services Act, 2020, continue reading….
