Weekly Evaluation FOCUS ON REFLECTIVE PRACTICE
SE2 Tasks: 1 Professional Development Plan The purpose of the PDP is to give you experience of identifying your own professional needs and planning for and progressing your professional development in an educational setting. The PDP should be discussed with your SE2 mentor in your initial meeting and be monitored/adjusted throughout the placement. It may provide evidence that you are meeting some of Teaching Standards. The PDP should be filed under 3.2 in your SE2 school file (Aims for SE2).
Professional Development Plan continued……… It should contain: A list of any outstanding targets from SE1 not met in ASE A written reflection (300 words written before the start of SE2) on your professional developmental needs at the start of SE2 A plan of action to meet these needs A short overall reflection (300 words written during the last week of SE2) on your progress towards meeting your targets during SE2 You should record actions taken and any short reflections in your weekly evaluation.
SE2 Tasks: 2 Writing Focus Task A key aspect of this placement is a focus on writing: • Observing writing(as part of information gathering and reflections) • approaches used in literacy lessons – teacher expectations, range of strategies, scaffolding used , guided writing, shared writing… • the range of genres – narrative recount non-fiction, poetry… • writing across the curriculum • creativity • resources
